The Seed Food and Wine Festival this past Saturday was incredible. The festival was presented by Whole Foods Market to create an "experience for guests who want to sip, savor and learn about conscious plant-based living. All activities were carefully crafted to take guests through a one-of-a-kind journey from cooking demonstrations, wine, beer and spirits tastings to body care, workshops, yoga, urban gardening and more." They even took care to ensure that most products were organic and had no GMO's.
Festival day started with a free yoga class taught by Dawn B and sponsored by the Sacred Space. Everyone got to keep their yoga mat (sweet!). My bro-in-law came down from Maryland just for the festival and not only did he do yoga for the first time but decided to go plant-based for the entire weekend! He was blown away by the delicious food and the new products such as cheese made from cashews that tasted just like mozzarella or burgers made from quinoa that were flavorful and satisfying.
Honestly, I don’t have many photos to represent all of the food or vendors because I was so caught up in the moment. I met some incredible people determined to spread the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle as well as help the environment. Having an event like this in Miami is so inspiring. I can’t wait for next year because I’m sure it will be bigger and better. Thank you to the Seed founders, Alison Burgos & Michelle Gaber and the rest of their team for working so hard to make this event a success.
Untill next year...
