The 21 day Meditation Challenge from Oprah Winfrey & Deepak Chopra is back! And this time they are focusing on Miraculous Relationships. Here’s a brief description from the email sent this morning explaining the new challenge:
“Miracles happen every day, and not just in remote villages or holy sites across the globe, but right here, in our own lives. If our minds are preoccupied or we’re too busy or rushed, we may not notice the miracles coming into our life, yet they are always there, like gifts waiting to be opened. Over the course of this meditation challenge, we will learn how to live each day connected to the peace of present-moment awareness. In this expanded state of awareness, we will be able to tune into the presence of miracles and see with the eyes of love.”
Doesn’t that sound amazing? They promise and deliver! The last challenge, Perfect Health, was absolutely wonderful and had me longing for more. I think Oprah & Deepak are an incredible duo and have found a great recipe to encourage a daily meditation practice.
How does it work? Sign up (for free) and you'll receive an email every morning with a link to the days meditation. For roughly 15 minutes, you hear from Oprah first explaining the lesson and then Deepak gently guides you through the meditation. I remember getting to a point last challenge where as soon as Deepak started to talk, I would go right into a deep meditation. It was awesome! They both have such soothing voices.
Time saving tip: I usually meditate in my car during my lunch break. It seems to be the best way for me to stay committed to my practice during the week. Plus, I think freeing your mind at this time prepares you for the second half of your day. I tend to feel lighter, more focused and less stressed. Who doesn’t want that?
